We are a group of enthusiasts who learn and practise Tai Chi and Chi Gong with an experienced teacher to guide us! We have 2 classes a week, on a Thursday, and our tutor gives us exercises appropriate to our age and health. Tai Chi is known to benefit posture and mental well being. It makes you more flexible and improves balance. It is an ideal way of exercising without stress. It is therapeutic. We have tea/coffee after our classes and we have social events every term. Members benefit from a chance to chat and to learn new exercises and meet new people, all in a safe and friendly environment. We are supported by Active for life, and won an award in 2012 for our work with older people; Brighton & Hove city Council, the East Brighton trust and the Co-operative Society. Our fees are £3 per class and social activities are low cost and often free. Our Thursday morning class is at Walter May House in Whitehawk, from 10.30-11.30am, and the after noon class is at Evelyn Glennie Court in kemp Town from 2-3pm. A warm welcome awaits any over 50's interested in learning new relaxation and exercise techniques.
